Last Minute Summer Craft Ideas for Kids

Summertime is slowly coming to an end. As I prepare for my last semester in college, I want to share with you some fun last minute summer ideas for kids! As many of you probably don't know, I am an Elementary Education major. I have a love and passion for for teaching young students. I am teaming up with thinkbaby.org to bring you some last minute fun educational activities to end the summer with your kids. Although these activities are developed for toddlers, they can easily be adapted for any child in preschool or elementary.

Pineapple Paper Plate Craft - We used Do-A-Dot- Art Markers
Palm Tree Hand Print Craft- We used finger paint, brown craft paper and glitter glue


Paper Plate Crab- We used Puffy paint, craft eyes and red construction paper 
Here are some summer/ beach theme crafts I made a couple years ago with my students during summer camp! Most of these crafts were made with paper plates, finger paint, puffy paint and Do-A-Dot Art Markers. I have included the link to purchases your own set of Dot Markers down below.

Puffy Paint Recipe:
1/2 cup Shaving Cream
1/2 cup Glue
Mix Shaving Cream and Glue. Add a few drops of food coloring.
